On July 11, 1991, with the presence of the President of the Republic, Doctor Cesar Gaviria Trujillo, the Bucaramanga Transportation Terminal was inaugurated, constituting the most important work consolidated in recent years in the city, which is a source of pride for all Santandereano not only for its design and beauty, but for its functionality, considering itself as one of the best land transportation terminals in the country.
The Transportation Terminal of Bucaramanga is a joint-stock company of mixed economy, of the Municipal order, with autonomy, legal personality, patrimony and own organization established according to the Colombian laws since February 6, 1978.
The purpose of the Bucaramanga Transportation Terminal is to provide comfort, security and provide necessary services to users of inter-municipal and interdepartmental transportation within its facilities, allowing the centralization of the arrival and departure of vehicles and, in general, contributing to urban planning. its zone of influence, and advances the necessary programs to ensure adequate control and improvement of the Land Transport Service.
The facilities of the Bucaramanga Transportation Terminal consist of four modules divided into inter-municipal taxi companies and bus companies that offer different routes, covering a large part of the National Territory.
